Hello! I'm Iker Silvosa Cruz, a Journalism graduate from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, specialized in sports journalism after completing the Master’s in Sports Journalism at Universidad CEU San Pablo.
Football has always been my greatest passion, and journalism is my truest vocation. Writing is my best form of expression—it’s when my real self emerges. I love telling stories, and I can’t imagine a life where writing about football doesn’t play a major role. I experienced this firsthand during my internship at MARCA, while covering live events for El Confidencial, and through the other journalistic experiences I've had the pleasure of pursuing.
My favorite reward in this exciting yet challenging profession is the constant opportunity to learn, uncover unknown stories, and face new challenges every day.
I’ve also enjoyed exploring other branches of journalism. I participated in a podcast on international football, work daily on my personal TikTok account, and have even dabbled in video and photography.
Understanding the social importance of my role, my sole objective is to provide honest, well-crafted, and truthful information to readers. Fortunately, I’m part of a new generation of journalists eager to restore the profession to its core values—guiding society toward a more just world, free from misinformation.
