The big winner from Gavi's injury is already here: Barça finalizes his signing

Barça completes a new signing after confirming that Gavi has a chance of undergoing surgery once again

Gavi, Andalusian midfielder for Barça, has been injured and, therefore, the culer club has had to rely on a signing to strengthen Hansi Flick's midfield. Gavi's injury hasn't been revealed yet, but everything suggests that, after a few weeks of rest, the Andalusian will have to undergo surgery again. Gavi has suffered a setback with his injured knee and, according to several media outlets, he may have affected his meniscus, which would force Barça to turn to the transfer market.

It hasn't been confirmed yet what type of injury Gavi has nor how long he'll be out, but at Barça they're pessimistic. Gavi's injury doesn't look good and, for this reason, Flick has met with Joan Laporta: he needs a new reinforcement or signing to complete his squad. Barça understands Flick's position and knows that action must be taken when dealing with injuries: they won't rush Gavi and will sign a replacement for him now.

According to Barça, everything seems to indicate that Gavi has decided to opt for a conservative treatment in order to avoid surgery. Sources close to Gavi haven't ruled out an arthroscopy, but, for now, that won't be the chosen option. As is evident, a conservative treatment requires time and patience, so Barça will have to sign in order to compete while Gavi recovers from his knee injury.

What type of injury does Gavi suffer from or have? All the details, uncovered: Barça already explains it

Just hours before playing against Rayo Vallecano, Gavi felt unwell during one of the training sessions prior to the league match. Gavi is still dealing with problems in the knee he injured, which kept him off the field for about eleven months (11 months): the discomfort persists and nothing is ruled out. Gavi, with knee discomfort, didn't play against Rayo nor was he included in Luis de la Fuente's list for the Spanish national team matches.

As of today, nothing can be ruled out, but everything seems to indicate that Gavi will end up undergoing surgery if the discomfort persists. Barça has wanted to be cautious and, for this reason, has relied on a new signing who will arrive very soon: he has a chance to be drafted to play against Valencia. Flick doesn't want any more scares in La Liga: with Gavi's injury already confirmed, Barça's coach has requested an immediate signing that is already completely finalized.

The main beneficiary of Gavi's injury is already here: Barça finalizes his signing

At Barça, they've been very concerned for months about injuries and physical problems and, consequently, Joan Laporta has been forced to finalize a new, rather unexpected signing. As the saying goes, when one door closes, another opens, and that's exactly what's on Barça president Joan Laporta's mind. At Barça, they're aware of what's happening with Gavi and, therefore, they don't want to rush: they'll sign so the Andalusian midfielder can rest properly.

Gavi will continue with his conservative treatment and Barça will finalize the "signing" of Guillermo Fernández, who will make the jump to the culer first team almost definitively. Guillermo had been left out of the last drafts, but he'll be present again in Barça's squad for the league match against Valencia on matchday four. Flick's idea is clear and is to count on Guillermo while Gavi remains injured: there's no rush with the Andalusian midfielder, meanwhile they'll rely on La Masia.
