Pedri's menu includes plenty of carbohydrates and fish such as salmon, a product that at first did not convince him, but now is part of his regular meals.

For the Canary Island footballer, carbohydrates are essential to keep up with the demanding pace his profession requires. "I play burning a lot of energy, that's why my diet is high-calorie and with a lot of carbs," the 22-year-old said emphatically.
Meanwhile, Pedri emphasized that his weight and muscle gain has not been accidental, but the result of a plan designed together with the club's trainers and doctors. This key transformation has also helped him protect himself from injuries that at certain points in his career have limited his continuity.
In addition to his diet, the athlete trains twice a day, with sessions aimed at strengthening his physique beyond soccer. "Barça set a diet for me to gain a little weight. But above all, what lies behind it is a lot of work in the gym," he repeated when talking about his exercise routine.
