There's tension! José Bordalás confronts Vinícius Júnior: 'He doesn't have to come to...'
The controversy surrounding Getafe-Real Madrid is still causing a stir, and Bordalás's statements prove it
The Getafe-Real Madrid match held last night at the Coliseum delivered a great spectacle. The white team won by a narrow 1-0 thanks to a goal from Mbappé in the final minutes. The Frenchman was decisive once again and extended his scoring streak to eleven consecutive matches, establishing himself as the team's main offensive reference.
However, the match won't be remembered for the goal, but for the controversy that arose on the field. Getafe competed with intensity and kept Real Madrid at bay for much of the clash. Everything changed in the second half, right when Vinícius Júnior came onto the field.

Vinícius Júnior, the main protagonist
The Brazilian changed the game as soon as he entered. His speed, boldness, and ability to unbalance threw the blue defense off, and they began to lose their composure. In just half an hour, Vinícius Júnior caused two sendings-off, forced another yellow card, and confronted José Bordalás.
The first major controversy came with the sending-off of Nyom, who had only been on the field for a minute. The Cameroonian stopped a run by Vinícius Júnior, and Munuera Montero didn't hesitate to show him a straight red card. That action completely changed the match, as Real Madrid took advantage of their numerical superiority to secure the three points.
José Bordalás explains what happened with Vinícius Júnior
After the final whistle, Getafe coach José Bordalás didn't want to miss the chance to publicly reprimand Vinícius Júnior's attitude. In the press conference after the match, the Alicante native appeared visibly upset by the Brazilian forward's behavior. "Vinícius doesn't have to come and tell me that the change was good, he doesn't have to come and provoke me", he declared with a disapproving gesture.
José Bordalás's words referred to an episode that occurred right after Nyom's sending-off. Vinícius Júnior, in full ecstasy over the referee's decision, approached Getafe's bench to address the coach with a mocking gesture. This isn't the first time the Brazilian's attitude has caused controversy, and it surely won't be the last.
José Bordalás was forceful in pointing out Vinícius Júnior. Even so, Real Madrid took the three points and the whites are already looking ahead to El Clásico. Surely, against Barça, Vinícius Júnior will return to the starting line-up to deliver one of his great performances.
