Official! Joan Laporta seals a blockbuster signing for Barça, signs through 2034
This operation will provide Barça with a net profit of approximately 450 million euros over eight years
We are now fully immersed in the official competitions, but even so, Barça's offices are still working tirelessly. They aren't very fond of doing their homework at the last minute, and Joan Laporta has several operations underway. A few days ago, we learned that one of the priorities is to find a center forward for next season. But that's not the only one.
For all these moves that Barça plans to carry out to be executed, it's essential for the club's finances to keep their current clear improvement trend. Meanwhile, in this regard, Laporta has signed a contract that seems interesting. An agreement that, in fact, could provide up to €450 million ($450 million) in net profit to the club's coffers as long as it remains in effect.
Of course, this will also allow Barça to keep considering making high-profile signings. Like the future "9", a center-back, and a winger. Without a doubt, this is splendid news for the club's short- and medium-term future. A life insurance. A guarantee of prosperity.

Barça has finally decided to renew its sponsorship agreement with Spotify. The club and the music platform have been working together for several seasons now, but their deal was set to expire in 2026, and Barça had been considering what to do. In fact, in recent weeks, the sports press had reported that the business relationship between the two wasn't particularly good. However, as it turns out, they were wrong.
With this, we'll keep seeing "Spotify" on Barça's match and training jerseys, both men's and women's, until 2030. For this, the platform will pay €75 million ($75 million) per season; that is, €300 million ($300 million) over these four extra years. Of this amount, €65 million ($65 million) is for displaying the logo on the match jersey and €10 million ($10 million) for the training jersey.
This is a similar agreement to the one Real Madrid has with Emirates, which pays €70 million ($70 million) annually to sponsor the Castellana-based club. These are two of the largest deals of this kind in all of the Old Continent. The two great clubs of the country are not cheap by any means.

Spotify will keep playing at Camp Nou
That's not all. The naming rights for Camp Nou have also been another point negotiated by both organizations. They shook hands after agreeing that Barça's stadium will keep being known as Spotify Camp Nou until 2034. However, in this chapter, there are some conditions that could modify the final amount received.
The point is that Spotify is willing to pay €20 million ($20 million) annually for this starting in the 2026/27 season. However, this is only if the renovated stadium manages to host at least 90% of its capacity; if not, it will be €10 million ($10 million). Let's remember that right now Barça has finally obtained the First Occupancy license, which allows it to accommodate about 27,000 spectators. The club's plans are to finish this season with approximately 60,000.
These figures don't surpass the 90% capacity threshold, so everything indicates that next season, Spotify will pay €10 million ($10 million) to Barça. Plus the €75 million ($75 million) from the jersey sponsorships. All in all, if everything goes as expected and there are no unexpected changes, Barça will receive €450 million ($450 million) from the music company from next summer until 2034.
