Neither Rodri nor Vitinha, he is the best, he has already proved it, Florentino Pérez is asking for his signing

Real Madrid is starting to consider possible signings for next season and is considering adding a midfielder

Real Madrid's season, aside from a couple of tough setbacks, is proving to be exquisite. Los Merengues win and convince, and right now they're one of the most in-form teams across the European continent. Even so, it's clear that there are some aspects of the game that aren't working as well as they should.

The clearest example is the defensive line, with key players out and the rest performing below expectations. That's where all efforts will be focused in the upcoming transfer windows. However, at Real Madrid they're also keeping an eye on other interesting options that may arise in other positions.

This is where the midfield comes into play, a crucial area in Xabi Alonso's approach to soccer. For now, there aren't excessive needs, since everyone is performing extraordinarily. This season, we've even seen the emergence of Arda Güler. Even so, Toni Kroos's departure almost two years ago has left a real sense of emptiness at Real Madrid.

They're missing a player with his characteristics, a maestro who organizes the entire midfield, who leads the team's tactical direction. In this context, several names have been linked to Real Madrid, and several players on Castellana are considered capable of filling Kroos's role.

Many rumors have placed Rodrigo Hernández and Vitinha in Real Madrid's orbit. They're two of the best midfielders on the planet, without a doubt. As usual, a club of Real Madrid's stature wants the best players in their squad. However, they seem like two options beyond the capital club's reach.

Therefore, from the offices at Santiago Bernabéu, they've started to analyze other possibilities in case they need to sign a midfielder at some point. This is where the name of an old acquaintance of Real Madrid has come up, one of the great nemeses of the white team. Declan Rice has emerged as a possible signing for Los Merengues, as reported by Fichajes.net.

Declan Rice could arrive at Castellana

Declan Rice is one of the most underrated players across the Old Continent. He's a spectacular player who more than fulfills all the tasks required of a "6." The aforementioned outlet has also reported that Arsenal is aware of Real Madrid's interest, but they'd demand around €130 million ($130 million) to let Declan Rice leave.

Real Madrid is not even considering paying that amount for him. In the hypothetical case they go after his signing, they'd ask him to force Arsenal's hand. For now, all this seems rather utopian, but just in case, Real Madrid has kept Declan Rice's name on file. It's worth remembering that the Gunner midfielder scored two direct free-kick goals against Los Merengues in last season's Champions League.
