Hansi Flick gets it right, he likes partying more than soccer, he will not play for Barça anymore

Hansi Flick will make a decision that will shape the future of a Barça academy graduate

Barça has started this season with momentum reminiscent of the final days of the previous campaign. Except for the setback against Rayo, Hansi Flick's team keeps showing they're among the best in the world. The fans feel hopeful seeing a compact, modern, and competitive squad.

The German coach has built a top-level roster where almost everyone contributes with total commitment. Commitment seems to have become the norm inside the Barça locker room. But even in the most solid teams, tensions arise: at Barça, there are also those who walk their own path.

A black sheep in the locker room

Last summer, Hansi Flick decided to part ways with Pablo Torre, who was sent to Mallorca. Torre had a reputation for questionable behavior since his time with Xavi, and Flick seems to share similar misgivings. That episode revealed the coach's firm hand in clearing out potential sources of distraction.

Beyond the Torre case, a new chapter has emerged. According to Don Balón, Flick has made it clear to Deco and Laporta that he doesn't count on Héctor Fort, neither now nor in the future. Fort, a Barça youth product, was loaned to Elche, although he keeps hoping to return.

The reason given by the coach is very blunt: "Héctor Fort didn't like to sleep, he always preferred to go out at night in Barcelona and neglect his professionalism." That statement, if true, draws a red line in the interpretation of the player's lifestyle.

A sentence for his career at Barça?

At Elche, Héctor Fort has barely played: he has only 22 minutes in the two matches in which he was drafted. The lack of minutes fuels the impression that Flick considers the full-back a definite discard. If those nocturnal behaviors reflect a real discipline problem, Flick's decision could have explicit internal support.

It should be remembered that Hansi Flick had already blocked a possible move for Héctor Fort to Mallorca, fearing he would fall into bad influences similar to those of Pablo Torre. That move pointed to a plan to protect the player's development in a more controlled environment.

Additionally, during the Asian preseason tour, Fort didn't play a single minute, which some interpreted as a deliberate gesture from Flick to make his position clear. If that way of marginalizing him was a warning, now the consequences could be definitive.
