Meanwhile, Florentino already has in mind who will be the successor on the bench when the time for change comes.

The chosen name is none other than Jürgen Klopp, one of the most admired coaches in world soccer. After leaving Liverpool, the German coach decided to take a break from coaching, turning down offers from major European clubs. Florentino Pérez considers him the ideal profile to lead the next white project if Xabi Alonso's project fails.

Jürgen Klopp was already on Real Madrid's radar a year ago, when his signing was considered as a possible replacement for Carlo Ancelotti. At that time, the German declined the proposal because he still felt emotionally attached to Liverpool. Now, with renewed energy and without a team, his arrival at Chamartín is a more real possibility than ever.
