Robert Lewandowski can't take it anymore and his transfer to AC Milan is urgent

AC Milan shows interest in signing Barça's veteran goalscorer

Robert Lewandowski is and has been a part of soccer history, becoming one of the best goal scorers in world soccer history. The Polish international has already scored 700 goals in his professional career between clubs and the national team. Out of that total, he has scored 344 goals while wearing Bayern Munich's jersey, 103 at Dortmund, and 105 at Barça.

His goal-scoring records say it all, and very few are capable of achieving what Lewandowski has done. The Polish striker's contract with the blaugrana club ends in June 2026, and he will very likely not renew. At the start of this season, his role has shifted to that of an impact substitute, coming off the bench, and his minutes on the field have dropped dramatically.

Hansi Flick has decided this, giving much more prominence to the Valencian forward Ferran Torres, making it clear that Lewandowski's era at Barça is coming to an end. So far, the Polish player had accepted his new role on the team without protest, understanding that he is no longer ready to play every minute. Lewandowski is aware that he must pace himself to avoid unwanted injuries and be able to reach 100% for the decisive stretch of the season.

Lewandowski's frustration

In the Champions League match against Luis Enrique's PSG, the Polish striker's frustration was clear and evident. Flick brought him onto the field with only 20 minutes left, but that didn't prevent the goal scorer's anger. Every ball he touched seemed lost, the opposing defenders easily neutralized him, and he was barely able to create clear goal-scoring chances.

When Lewandowski entered the field, his teammates were already exhausted, and he barely received any balls in good condition. When Ferran Torres scored Barça's goal, instead of showing joy, he displayed disappointment and coldness. This image did not go unnoticed; his attitude seems to have changed, and the atmosphere is starting to become tense.

AC Milan show interest in Lewandowski

The Italian team from Lombardy has shown interest in signing the veteran Barça goal scorer, who has a contract until 2026. The Italian club's sporting director reportedly met with the Polish striker's agent to discuss various market matters and Lewandowski's intentions. Milan wants to get ahead in the market, making their interest in the forward clear, who at 37 years old remains highly sought after.

Lewandowski has already made it clear that he didn't like starting on the bench against PSG. If the story repeats itself in the coming matches, a conflict could erupt. Although it is true that Ferran scored the only goal against PSG, he also didn't have his best match, missing several clear chances. The debate is open, a demanding schedule is approaching, and having Lewandowski in top form will be essential for the team.
