Fede Valverde, more honest than ever, admits what's happening to him: 'I'm really exha...'
The Uruguayan was caught in Vallecas speaking with a very important person from the white locker room about what happened
Fede Valverde is playing a much more prominent role than usual at the start of this season. The Uruguayan, known for being the silent leader in the white locker room, has become the center of attention because of his performance, his gestures, and his statements.
If there is one thing that has always defined Fede Valverde, it is his ability to perform at a high level without seeking the spotlight. He has never cared about taking a back seat if that helped the team win. However, in recent matches, it seems something has changed in his attitude.

Fede Valverde's controversies
The first controversy involving the Uruguayan this season came when the possibility was considered that he would have to play as a right back. The absences of Carvajal and Trent forced Xabi Alonso to look for emergency solutions, and Fede Valverde appeared to be the most reliable option. However, far from accepting the role without complaint, Fede expressed his discomfort and asked to play in his natural position, midfield.
Some inside the locker room interpreted that gesture as an act of rebellion that is unusual for him. In fact, from that moment, rumors began about a possible poor relationship between Fede Valverde and Xabi Alonso. Moreover, the situation became even more complicated in the Champions League, when Fede was seen standing on the sideline, not warming up, while his coach gave instructions to other teammates.
As if that were not enough, the match against Rayo Vallecano has once again put him in the media spotlight. Real Madrid only managed a draw in Vallecas, and Fede Valverde delivered one of his most lackluster performances since wearing white. To make matters worse, he was caught in the final minutes of the match talking to the doctors about his injury, explaining exactly what was wrong with him.
What's wrong with Fede Valverde?
Cameras caught Fede Valverde talking to the club's doctors: "I'm very tired, but I don't think there's an injury," he said before being taken off the field. However, the medical tests have produced a different diagnosis. The Uruguayan has suffered an injury to the semimembranosus muscle in his right leg, which will force him to stop for between 10 and 12 days.
The news has come as a cold shower in Valdebebas, but also with a certain sense of hope. Now comes the international break, so Fede Valverde should be recovered in time for Real Madrid's return to competition. The whites return next November 23 against Elche.
Until then, Fede Valverde will work alone in the gym to regain his physical form. He won't travel with Uruguay, which has already officially announced the decision to leave him in Madrid.
