This is the exact date of Xabi Alonso's farewell to Real Madrid, there's no turning back now

Xabi Alonso's future hangs by a thread: there are already two key dates that could mean his dismissal

The excitement sparked by Xabi Alonso after his signing with Real Madrid has barely lasted a couple of months. The initial feelings at the Club World Cup were very positive, since it seemed that the man from Tolosa was going to manage to impose his style clearly. However, as the weeks have gone by, the collective performance, far from evolving, seems to be regressing match after match.

Xabi Alonso is starting to be strongly questioned by certain sectors of the fans, but also within the locker room itself. According to several sources, certain Real Madrid stars aren't aligned with his idea of play or his group management, which greatly complicates achieving positive results. When the coach loses the support of the locker room, the margin for error is reduced to a minimum.

Xabi Alonso's departure takes shape

In this delicate context, there's already a lot of talk about a possible dismissal of Xabi Alonso within weeks. Voices very close to Madridism, such as Pipi Estrada, have publicly acknowledged that "if Real Madrid lose in Greece, Xabi will have a hard time continuing". The visit to Olympiacos's stadium, where the atmosphere is always hostile, could become a decisive test.

But Pipi isn't the only one who sees it that way. Maldini, one of the country's most respected analysts, has also focused on Real Madrid's next two matches. According to him, the games against Olympiacos and Girona are decisive, so much so that "in case of a slip, they could be definitive for Xabi Alonso".

The exact date is already circulating around the club; the coach knows it and is fully aware that his immediate future is at stake in just five days. If Real Madrid is defeated by Olympiacos on November 26, the board could activate his dismissal almost immediately. If he manages to overcome that first hurdle, the second big test will come on November 30 against Girona, one of the most in-form teams in the league.

Xabi Alonso needs the win

On the other hand, if the team manages to win both matches, Xabi Alonso will gain time to keep working on rebuilding the project. Florentino Pérez favors keeping stability as long as there's clear progress, but Real Madrid can't afford a prolonged crisis at this stage of the season. Two wins could save the coach; one defeat could leave him with no margin at all.

The immediate future of Real Madrid and Xabi Alonso himself are at stake. The only sure thing is that the margin for error is minimal and November could become the month that definitely marks his fate on the white bench. The ball is in his court.
