Barça draws with Brugge and Deco identifies the 3 culprits behind the debacle

Huge Champions night in Belgium between Barça and Brugge

FC Barcelona fans thought tonight's match was going to be a mere formality. Theoretically, the Catalans are far superior to Club Brugge, but on the field, it looked quite the opposite. Hansi Flick's team had possession of the ball, but with no bite or depth, which made it easy for the Belgian team to launch many counterattacks.

The final result, a 3-3 draw that feels like a defeat, perfectly reflects what the match was like. Barça scored three goals thanks to Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal, but their defensive mistakes are unforgivable. Every time Club Brugge got close to the box, it felt like they could score easily, something unacceptable at this level.

Deco draws their own conclusions

Deco, always alert to everything happening with the team, didn't miss a single minute of the match. What they saw didn't please them at all, and now it's clear to them that Barça needs a major overhaul in the summer. After today's draw, they've already identified 3 players who, in their opinion, aren't at the level FC Barcelona demands.

The first of them is Alejandro Balde, who once again delivered a performance to forget. The left-back, who was expected to be one of the great future leaders, made several serious defensive errors. He was directly involved in two of Club Brugge's three goals, showing a worrying lack of concentration.

The second player singled out is Jules Koundé, whose performance has plummeted in recent months. What used to be synonymous with solidity has turned into a constant source of doubt. Today, against Club Brugge, he once again looked too fragile in duels and out of position in coverages.

The third name on the blacklist is Wojciech Szczesny, who once again raised doubts every time the ball came near his goal. The Polish goalkeeper, who is at Barça to replace Joan García, hasn't shown the level that was desired. Everything that reached the Barça goal ended up in the back of the net.

The draw in Belgium not only exposes the team's tactical problems, but also the unreliability of certain footballers. Deco will make drastic decisions, and after what was seen today, it seems that Alejandro Balde, Jules Koundé, and Szczesny will be the first to pay the price. Barça needs a deep change if they don't want to repeat this kind of debacle.
